I don’t think I need a full programme / your current programmes don’t quite fit what I need – but I do want more than one coaching session with you. What options do I have?
You can simply pre-pay a number of Focus coaching hours and use them as and when you wish. If you book more than 2 hours, the hourly rate is reduced to £70 (from £75). If you'd like to take this option please let me know via Contact me and I'll issue an invoice for you.
How long do I have to complete a programme?
There’s no time limit, it depends simply on how quickly you want to work through it. Some people choose to have a weekly coaching conversation, others choose fortnightly. Some start weekly, move to fortnightly and then may take a month between their last two coaching hours. The timing of our conversations is entirely led by you and is flexible to meet your needs.
Can I pause a programme part-way through?
Yes, in that there’s no time limit for you to complete your programme. If you want to pause for an extended length of time, just let me know and we'll talk about a reasonable / likely reactivation date.
Can I cancel a programme after I’ve started?
Yes, of course. If you change your mind after booking your programme and before starting it, you will be entitled to a full refund less an administration fee of £10.00.
Understanding that things can change, if after starting your programme you find that it is no longer what you need and we can’t tailor it for your changing needs, a refund can be given. Note that the amount refunded will be based on the total paid less the number of coaching hours completed at the current coaching hour rate.
Simply email: karen@compasshr.net to confirm you wish to cancel your programme and why.
I don’t think I need a full hour, can I book less time?
Yes, I’ve had great success in supporting clients in 30 minute Focus sessions, for example practising a presentation for interview, reviewing a job application or talking through a specific issue. You’ll find details here.
You say all your coaching conversations are via Zoom but I really prefer to speak on the phone. Is that OK?
Yes of course, whatever you’re comfortable with. Just let me know when making your booking and I'll call you at the scheduled time.
Can I ask you questions between our coaching conversations?
Yes, if you book my Career Change Success or Career Clarity programme you can email me between sessions. This is quite common, particularly if you find a role you really want to apply for or are invited for interview. I will aim to reply to you the same day if I can, or within 24 hours at the most.
What is the difference between coaching and mentoring?
Coaching conversations are very much led by you, with me listening, reflecting back to you and asking you questions. Coaching assumes you have the answer you need and my role is simply to enable you to find that answer. Conversations around Strengths, Values and what matters to you, are very much coaching conversations.
Mentoring conversations are where I will use my knowledge and experience to guide you and enable you to develop your own skills and knowledge. Conversations around your CV, LinkedIn profile, interview techniques are more aligned to mentoring.
